Running multiple zones at once is usually not possible due to water pressure and flow limitations at residential properties. Pressure drops in a system will cause inconsistent water delivery, and depending on the sprinklers, this can be drastic.

If you open more than one solenoid valve at the same time, it will cause the current to be too low and the solenoid valve will not be able to reach the normal working power, which will greatly reduce the watering effect. And multiple solenoid valves working at the same time will cause the device to overheat, shortening the life-span of the solenoid valve.
